Privacy Policy

VastuNomy respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP).

1. Information We Collect

Account data — name, phone number, email address.
Location data — with your explicit permission, your device location, used to place your property on the map and compute directional (Vastu) analysis. You may decline; location features then rely on manual placement. Location is never collected in the background or while the app is closed.
Camera, photos & media — accessed only when you choose to capture or attach a floor-plan or profile image.
Property data — measurements and floor plans you provide for analysis.
Client details you enter — if you are a consultant preparing a report, the client's name, phone, and property address you enter are stored to generate and organise that report. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to provide another person's details.
Payment data — processed by Razorpay; we receive only transaction status, never your full card or bank details.
Analytics & identifiers — we use Google Firebase Analytics to understand feature usage. This collects app-usage events and a device advertising identifier (Advertising ID). We do not use it to serve ads.
Diagnostics — crash reports, error logs, and performance metrics (via Firebase Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring), tied to your user ID, to keep the app stable.
Device & push data — a push-notification token, device model, platform, app version, and IP address, used to deliver notifications, secure the Service, and target updates.
Usage data — basic device and app-usage information to operate and improve the Service.

2. How We Use It

To deliver Vastu analysis and reports, provide consultations, process payments, provide customer support, comply with law, and improve our services. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us run the Service, under confidentiality obligations:

Razorpay — payment processing.
Google Firebase / Google Cloud — authentication, secure storage, analytics, crash reporting and hosting (India region).
Truecaller — used only if you choose one-tap login; Truecaller verifies your phone number and returns your basic profile (name, phone) to create your account, under Truecaller's own privacy policy.
Google Maps — provides map display and geocoding; your interactions with the map and approximate location may be processed by Google under its privacy policy.

We may disclose data where required by law.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain personal data only as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app; your account is deactivated immediately and permanently erased after a 30-day grace period. Logging in again during that period cancels the deletion.

5. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and secure infrastructure to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to safeguard it.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may withdraw consent, using the in-app controls or by contacting us. We will respond within the timelines required by law.

7. Children's Privacy

VastuNomy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data without verifiable parental consent, in line with applicable child-privacy laws.
